<p>The 14-acre vineyard is situated 1 mile north of Wallingford and 8 miles south of the city of Oxford abutting the south side of the River Thames in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and produces white, rosé, red and sparkling wines.</p>
<p>Wines sales and tastings are available from Brightwell Vineyard’s on-site Wine Shop, open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12 – 6pm, and at other times by arrangement. Group wine tastings and vineyard tours are available by appointment.</p>

<p>Situated in the market town of Wallingford in Oxfordshire, Pettits was established on 6th March 1856 by Mr William Pettit who came from Newmarket, where his father was a saddle maker.</p>
<p>One of the largest and oldest businesses in Wallingford, the store remained in the Pettit family until 1987 when it was sold to the Rowse family, another local family firm well known for it’s honey production.</p>
<p>Pettits is the only department store remaining in Wallingford with over 20 departments covering three floors.</p>
